About the Role:
Ethos Early Learning Center is seeking a highly experienced, dependable Lead Infant Teacher who will also serve as Second Floor Coordinator, overseeing daily operations across three infant classrooms.

This is a dual-role position perfect for a confident educator ready to lead in the classroom and provide supportive leadership across the floor.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM

  • Flexibility to stay until 6:00 PM if needed to meet licensing, staffing, or classroom needs

 


 

Key Responsibilities:

In the Classroom (Lead Teacher & Opener):

  • Open the center and prepare the classroom each morning by 7:45 AM

  • Lead classroom huddles and launch a strong, organized day.

  • Greet children and families warmly upon arrival.

  • Lead monthly curriculum planning and mentor co-teachers in curriculum implementation.

  • Observe and document children's development; complete bi-annual progress reports and conferences.

  • Maintain daily communication with families, including personalized updates and photos.

  • Ensure classroom safety, headcounts, cleanliness, and supply readiness.

  • Conduct one fire drill per month and submit the reports to the Center Director.

  • Mentor and support assistant teachers and co-teachers in routines, safety, and professional communication

 

On the Floor (Second Floor Coordinator):

  • Monitor staff punctuality, engagement, and professionalism across three infant classrooms

  • Model and support consistent classroom practices aligned with EEC regulations and center policies

  • Act as the liaison between second-floor teams and the administrative team.

  • Assist with onboarding and mentoring new staff on the second floor.

  • Step into any classroom as needed to support ratios and classroom quality.

 


 

  • Qualifications:

    • EEC Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher CertificationRequired

    • EEC Director 1 CertificationRequired

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field – Required

    • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a licensed infant/toddler classroom

    • Proven experience as a leader, manager, or administrator in a childcare center – Preferred

    • Strong understanding of EEC regulations and health/safety standards

    • Familiarity with Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Play-Based approachesRequired

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

    • CPR and First Aid certified, or willingness to obtain

    • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and actively participate in classroom and outdoor activities

    • Strong verbal and written English communication skills

    • Commitment to continuous professional development

    • Successful completion of EEC Background Record Check
