Overview of Concept: 

The Bower plaza in the Fenway is home to three concepts from ES Hospitality - Eastern Standard, reopened after 15 years in Kenmore Square, Equal Measure, a craft cocktail bar, and Standard Italian, a modern Italian restaurant. These concepts, helmed by Garrett Harker, serve brunch, lunch, dinner, and late-night drinks to neighborhood visitors, BU students and faculty, residents, and restaurant industry professionals alike. Garrett is joined by Beverage Director Jackson Cannon and Culinary Director Brian Rae in the operation of these concepts.

About the Position: 

ES Hospitality is seeking a part-time Marketing Assistant to work closely with the Marketing Manager on the group’s social media and marketing initiatives and public outreach. This individual will work with the Marketing Manager to showcase our group’s food, beverages, and hospitality in consumer-facing media, while supporting community outreach and driving customer engagement with our brand. This is a great opportunity for someone who is excited about the hospitality industry and about developing their existing marketing and social media skills in a vibrant, multi-concept restaurant setting. 

Responsibilities:

• Support the Marketing Manager in developing social media and marketing strategies and tactics that optimize business goals across each concept

• Assist with photo shoots for new food, cocktails and restaurant sponsored initiatives in order to continuously generate new content

• Work with the Marketing Manager to create content for marketing private and in-house special events 

• Assist in production of digital & printed materials for in-house and restaurant sponsored events

• Assist in website management for each concept

• Handle various other administrative tasks as required

Who You Are: 

• Ceaselessly curious and hungry, excited by the opportunity to assist in developing new ideas to grow the ES Hospitality brand within the Boston restaurant community

• Someone with an innate sense of, and appreciation for, hospitality - prior experience working in the hospitality industry is a strong plus

• Comfortable multitasking and juggling projects

• Someone with experience in Lightroom, Canva and InDesign

• Someone with a flexible schedule and the ability to work occasional weekend hours as needed, and the ability to be onsite at our restaurants at least 2-3 days a week

• Someone who is excited to work collaboratively and further develop their marketing and media skills

Compensation and Benefits: 

$22-$27/hour, 20 hours/week
