About the Role
As General Manager, you will serve as the strategic and cultural leader of the hotel, overseeing all operations including guest services, housekeeping, engineering, sales, and food & beverage. You will work closely with ownership and brand partners to deliver exceptional guest experiences, uphold Hilton standards, and maximize operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day hotel operations with a focus on guest satisfaction, brand standards, and financial results
- Inspire, coach, and develop department leaders and team members to achieve operational excellence
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and service-oriented culture aligned with Hilton values
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to meet or exceed performance goals
- Ensure compliance with all Hilton brand standards and local/state/federal regulations
- Drive revenue through collaboration with sales and revenue management, maximizing occupancy and ADR
- Oversee food & beverage operations, including restaurant, catering, and banquet services
- Maintain strong relationships with ownership, providing regular updates and strategic insights
- Champion guest engagement initiatives, including the Embassy Suites signature breakfast and evening reception experience
What We Are Looking For
- Proven leadership experience as a General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a full-service hotel (Hilton experience preferred)
- Strong operational, financial, and business acumen
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills
- Hands-on, visible leadership style with a passion for service excellence
- Experience overseeing food & beverage operations
- Ability to drive results while maintaining a strong guest and team focus
- Knowledge of the Jacksonville market is a plus
