Abbeville PM Caregiver

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and responsible Caregiver to provide quality in-home care and support to clients. The ideal caregiver is patient, trustworthy, respectful, and committed to helping clients maintain their comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.

• Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning.

• Prepare and serve meals according to the client’s needs and preferences.

• Provide medication reminders as directed.

• Perform light housekeeping related to the client’s care and living area.

• Assist with laundry, changing linens, and maintaining a safe environment.

• Provide companionship and meaningful interaction.

• Accompany clients to appointments, errands, or activities when assigned.

• Observe and report changes in the client’s condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate supervisor.

• Follow the client’s care plan and all company policies and procedures.

• Maintain client confidentiality and treat every client with dignity and respect.

• Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other members of the care team.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving or personal care experience preferred.

• Compassionate, dependable, and patient.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and families.

• Ability to follow care plans and instructions.

• Must be able to maintain professional boundaries and respect client privacy.

• Reliable transportation may be required depending on the assignment.

• Must meet all applicable company and state requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to assist with walking, transfers, and other physical care needs as required by the client.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform routine caregiving tasks.

• Ability to safely perform duties based on the specific needs of assigned clients.
