We are looking to employ an HR generalist with outstanding analytical and communication skills.  An HR generalist is expected to be a conceptual thinker with thorough organizational and conflict management skills. HR generalists handle employee relations, training & development, investigations, compensation, etc. Our HR candidate should exhibit strong decision-making skills with a strong understanding of employee relationships, staffing management, and correct interpretation of HR policies and procedures on behalf of the company. Always demonstrates company core values and mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory compliance and reporting
  • Employee orientation, development, and training
  • Policy development and documentation
  • Employee relationship & communication management
  • Committee facilitation
  • Employee safety, welfare, and wellness education presentations
  • Investigate, follow-up, and resolution of complaints brought forward by employees
  • Performs orientation and update records of new staff
  • Prepares presentation for various HR communications to employees including forms, slides, teams, etc..
  • Administer appropriate disciplinary action when there is a violation of rules or safety regulations
  • Performance Management:  Work with management to determine the appropriate course of action with regards to employee performance, safety, or attendance issues.
  • Assist with Talent acquisition:  Work with management to create, deliver and manage a staffing plan. 
  • Assist and support all HR activities/duties as needed

Requirements:

  • Bilingual Spanish/English in verbal and written communications
  • Ability to multi-task, great problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
  • PHR certification (favorable but not required)
  • 2+ years required as a human resource generalist or associate in manufacturing/retail environment
  • Flexibility in work schedule
  • Readiness to be developed via cross-training, coachable, crisis response, etc… within the HR function in preparation for future progression.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast pace and changing environment
  • Ability to be resourceful, demonstrates business acumen, use creative thinking skills, and act as a decision maker
  • Ability to travel when necessary approximately 8% of total work year

Work Schedule:

  • 5-day work week   M-F    9:30am – 6:30pm  
  • Alternate Saturdays:  8am – 2pm (Sundays + additional weekday off when working on Saturdays)
