The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of development programs to equip talent for peak performance in their responsibilities. This manager will also work at all levels of the organization to effectively deliver essential content to teams, leaders and supervisors. Throughout their courses and programs, the successful candidate will ensure that the company’s core values are continually emphasized and integrated into daily operations.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Assess and analyze data to identify strengths and weaknesses in performance management activities, tools, criteria and processes
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the state of performance management in the organization (e.g., retention of high performers, development of low performers); advises on improvements in performance management strategies and approaches
Serve as an advisor to HR leadership on retention strategies
Manage external consulting/advisory resources responsible for helping to develop and/or implement performance management processes or tools
Design and deliver custom content or programs to attend business needs
Employ project management tools to implement learning and development initiatives
Train and coach leaders and supervisors to deliver content
Design and deliver courses in a variety of formats including instructor led, virtual instructor led, e-learning, mobile learning and other modalities
Act as a learning consultant to the business, leveraging instructional design principles and best practices
Establish the strategic direction of learning and development for the organization, including ensuring that the service and delivery model are aligned with the organizational culture and scalable in support of business transformation
Identify advanced individual training topics and goals, aligned with the values and goals of the organization, that address broad-based, company-wide training needs
Conduct needs assessment to identify gaps in individual skills that can be addressed through broad-based training; review available data on skill gaps and develop new assessments when necessary
Design training programs, services and interventions to address individual skill gaps
Track and analyze the impact and efficacy of learning programs and initiatives
Compile and analyze data to help with budget preparation and training priorities
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a related field
Experience with high performance food manufacturing plants is desirable
Excellent communication, presentation, and group facilitation skills are a must
Strong skills in instructional design principles and adult learning theories
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Manufacturing and sales environment experience is a plus
Computer skills and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
