Ed Martin Buick GMC is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated Oil Change / Express Service Technician to join our service team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on vehicles and wants to build a long-term career in the automotive industry. Experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn.

What You’ll Do

• Perform oil and filter changes

• Rotate and balance tires

• Perform multi-point vehicle inspections

• Check and top off fluids

• Inspect tires, brakes, batteries, and other basic maintenance items

• Complete work efficiently and accurately

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Communicate additional maintenance or repair needs to the service team

• Follow dealership and manufacturer safety procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Dependable and punctual

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

• Basic automotive knowledge preferred

• Previous automotive experience is a plus, but not required

ABOUT

Ed Martin Automotive Group is looking to add Oil/Filter Change Technicians to our Service Department! The ideal candidate will posses some level of experience in a business setting with performing Oil & Filter Changes, Topping off air pressure in tires, Filling/replacing various fluids and other entry level service tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
• High school diploma or GED
• Technical degree preferred
• ASE certifications preferred
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude
