Lot Technician (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Doug Smith Auto Group in American Fork is looking for a motivated Lot Technician to join our team. You'll work alongside our sales staff and help showcase an exciting inventory, including Subaru, Mitsubishi, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and a constantly changing selection of quality pre-owned vehicles.

This is a great entry-level position for someone who enjoys working around vehicles, staying active, and being part of a fast-paced team. Many of our employees have started in support roles like this and advanced into Sales, Service, Parts, and Management positions.

What You'll Do

• Keep vehicle inventory organized, clean, and customer-ready
• Move and stage vehicles for display and customer appointments
• Inspect vehicles for damage and report concerns
• Assist with inventory management and lot organization
• Support the sales team with vehicle preparation and presentations
• Help prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery
• Fuel vehicles as needed
• Deliver vehicles to vendors and other dealership locations
• Apply paint and fabric protection products
• Maintain the appearance of the dealership lot, lobby, and customer areas

What We're Looking For

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to stay organized and pay attention to details
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Comfortable driving a variety of vehicles
• Able to lift to 50 pounds
• Able to walk, stand, and work outdoors for extended periods
• Must be at least 17 years old
• Previous lot attendant or automotive experience is helpful, but not required
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
