PM Dishwasher/ Steward

The DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center  is seeking an experienced PM dishwasher/steward to join our team.  This position is 100% on-site, no remote work; this role pays $16.00 an hour.

 
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami Airport Convention Center is conveniently situated just south of Miami International Airport off the Dolphin Expressway adjacent to the Blue Lagoon Business District. The hotel features 334 guestrooms, onsite dining, fitness room, outdoor pool, business center, complimentary High-Speed Internet Access, 24,000 square feet of retail space, 20,000 Square feet of Hotel Meeting and Function Space and an Convention Center with 152,000 square feet of meeting, event and exhibit space.

This position will be an hourly position and will report to the Kitchen Supervisor & Executive Chef.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of all areas of the dishroom, kitchen aisle, and dock area.
• Break down trays, set up dish machine, wash dishware, and sort and store all clean china, glass, and silver using proper procedures.
• Empty trashcans and wash inside and outside.
• Thoroughly clean dock area and dumpster.
• Break down dish machine and clean inside and outside.
• Clean all breakdown tables.
• Clean tile walls and baseboards
• Work effectively under pressure during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications/ Skills:

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal service during events.
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time.
• Work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Fluency in a second language, preferably Spanish.
