Automotive Spray in Bedliner Technician

DePaula Chevrolet is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Spray-In Bed Liner Technician to join our Central Adas team. In this role, you will prepare vehicle truck beds and other surfaces, apply spray-on protective coatings, and ensure a high-quality finish that meets company standards. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.  No experience we will train the right person!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare truck beds and other vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming as needed.
• Mix and apply spray-in bed liner materials according to manufacturer specifications.
• Operate spray equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper coverage, texture, and finish quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of spray equipment and tools.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Communicate with team members and customers regarding project timelines and expectations.
• Assist with other shop duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in automotive refinishing, body repair, painting, or spray coatings is preferred but not required.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Valid NYS driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to chemicals, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to wear respirators and other required PPE.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with spray application equipment.
• Knowledge of automotive accessories and truck customization.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.

Compensation:

• $18.00 - $20.00 an hour (depending on qualifications).
• Weekly Pay.
