Job Description

Deml Ford is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to join our growing service team. The ideal candidate will be Ford certified, with a strong background in diagnosing and repairing vehicles across multiple systems. This role is key in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering accurate, efficient, and high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy in line with dealership standards

  • Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools/service equipment to assess components and systems

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, steering, and air conditioning

  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are informed of additional needs and accurate repair timelines

  • Provide estimates of repair times and costs when additional service is required

  • Complete warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications

  • Maintain high-quality workmanship, thorough documentation, and clear communication

  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of service technician experience preferred

  • Ford Certification preferred

  • Prior experience at a Ford dealership preferred

  • B-level technician qualifications, including diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair skills

  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, with ability to use electronic diagnostic equipment

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and physical stamina to work on your feet and lift 50 lbs+

  • Positive, customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies, procedures, and specifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
