Barista

We’re looking for a part-time Barista to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea, and provide an excellent guest experience. 

Barista responsibilities include educating customers on our drinks menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, upselling specials and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should possess strong customer service skills and knowledge of espresso machines and other coffee equipment operations.

Barista Responsibilities:

• Greet and interact with customers
• Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly, positive and timely manner
• Educate customers about menu items and answer any questions
• Take orders with attention to detail, such as allergies and preferences
• Make and serve coffee, tea and other beverages
• Provide the highest quality service and establish appropriate rapport with all guests
• Receive and process cash, debit and credit payments while following the established procedures for handling cash and processing financial transactions
• Maintain espresso and brewing equipment to ensure proper function and identify repair or maintenance needs
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Comply with health and safety regulations
• Complete all required side work
• Perform other job related duties as assigned

Barista Qualifications:

• Previous work experience as a Barista is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Hands-on experience with brewing equipment
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations
