The Director of Accounts Management is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving customer engagement, retention, and revenue growth through the effective management of key client accounts across Dalkia SIS. This individual leads a high-performing team of Account Managers, ensuring alignment with the organization’s sales, operational, and client success objectives. The role focuses on building long-term client partnerships, and ensuring the delivery of value-driven solutions that align with Dalkia SIS’s mission of sustainability and energy efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:  

      Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to manage and grow existing client relationships across key markets.
    Lead, coach, and mentor the Account Management team, fostering a performance-driven and client-centric culture.

  • Responsible for delivering on annual sales targets, to include communicating and reporting quarterly updates to the VP of Strategic Development & Innovation.

      Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as an executive point of contact for key accounts, managing escalations and ensuring the highest level of service delivery.
    Cultivate deep client relationships to identify upsell, cross-sell, and contract extension opportunities.
    Collaborate with clients to understand evolving needs and tailor Dalkia SIS solutions accordingly.

      Team Development & Oversight

  • Set performance metrics and KPIs for the Account Management team, conducting regular reviews and reporting.
    Lead talent development initiatives to build internal capabilities and succession pipelines.
    Drive collaboration between Account Managers and project delivery, engineering, and finance teams.

      Revenue & Operational Oversight

  • Monitor account performance, revenue targets, and profitability to ensure alignment with forecasts.

  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting for the Business Development division.

  • Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and negotiation of client renewals and change orders.

      Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with business development, operations, legal, and marketing teams to optimize client outcomes.

  • Provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to inform business strategy.

Preferred Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in account management, sales, or business development within the energy services, construction, or utilities industry.
    5+ years in a senior leadership role managing high-performing teams and key client accounts.

  • Proven track record in managing strategic accounts and driving revenue growth.
    Strong leadership and team management skills with a collaborative, solution-oriented approach.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship-building abilities.

  • Deep understanding of energy efficiency solutions, energy performance contracting, or sustainability-driven services preferred.

  • Proficient in CRM systems such as Sales Force, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analytics tools.
