Role Summary:

The Human Resource Assistant at Dalkia Energy Solutions, SIS Division, provides administrative support to the Senior Director of Human Resources. This role focuses on maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of HR processes while ensuring a positive employee experience. The HR Assistant serves as a liaison between employees and the Senior Director of HR, addressing day-to-day HR inquiries and supporting various functions such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.  Coordinates and assists with talent acquisition coordinator with open opportunities within SIS TX and NM.   The Human Resource Assistant plays a vital role in fostering a collaborative and efficient HR environment while supporting the SIS Division’s overall goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities:  

  • On boarding and Off boarding:

    • Prepare and coordinate new hire documentation and orientation materials.

    • Facilitate on boarding sessions to integrate new employees into the company culture.

    • Support off boarding processes, including exit interviews and documentation.

  • Employee Records Management:

    • Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

    • Assist in processing personnel changes, such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.

  • Benefits Administration:

    • Provide support for employee benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.

    • Assist in resolving benefits-related issues in collaboration with HR leadership.

  • Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and company policies.

    • Generate and prepare reports related to HR metrics, attendance, and compliance audits.

  • Employee Engagement and Communication:

    • Coordinate employee events, training sessions, and engagement activities.

    • Respond to general HR-related questions and provide exceptional customer service.

  • Administrative Support:

    • Assist in scheduling meetings, preparing HR correspondence, and maintaining department files.

    • Support special projects and other administrative tasks as needed.

Preferred skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an HR support role is preferred but not required.

  • Strong organizational skills & attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems (HRIS).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
