We are looking for a full time energetic Dietary Aide to join our growing team! The right candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively and be able to provide excellent customer service to our residents.
Responsibilities
-
Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required
-
Assist with serving meals
-
Transports hot and cold foods to and from the dining room
-
Transports all required non-food items to and from the dining room
- Keep dishes clean and put away
-
Provides health center snacks and supplements per diet orders
-
Maintains stock and sanitation levels in coffee and juice machines in dining rooms
-
Sets tables and maintains work stations in proper order
-
Takes order, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously
-
Clears dishes from tables after meal service
-
Answers pertinent questions about menu items
Qualifications
-
Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, perform simple arithmetic, and understand measurements and conversions

Previous experience in nursing home food service preferred, but not required
-
Ability to plan, organize and set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards
-
Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly
