We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Parts Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize our multi-line inventory operations.
Job Summary
The Parts Inventory Manager is responsible for the complete oversight of the parts inventory for both CDJR and Ford lines. This role involves maintaining appropriate stock levels, managing ordering processes through Mopar and Ford Motorcraft systems, and ensuring accurate and efficient parts flow for internal and retail needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain accurate inventory for both Mopar (CDJR) and Ford Motorcraft parts lines.
- Utilize OEM parts ordering systems (such as DealerCONNECT for Mopar and FMCDealer for Ford).
- Conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain compliance with manufacturer inventory standards.
- Place, receive, and verify parts orders; manage special orders, returns, cores, and warranties.
- Organize and bin incoming stock, ensuring proper labeling and location accuracy.
- Track obsolete or slow-moving inventory and implement strategies to minimize overstock.
- Collaborate with service, body shop, and sales departments to ensure parts availability and timely order fulfillment.
- Lead, train, and supervise parts department staff as needed.
- Generate inventory and performance reports for dealership leadership.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant parts warehouse environment.
Qualifications
- 1- 3 years of experience in a dealership parts department; CDJR and/or Ford experience strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with DMS software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.) and OEM systems (DealerCONNECT, FMCDealer).
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and team leadership skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in parts or inventory management are a plus.
