Position Summary
The Landscaper is responsible for maintaining the appearance, health, and safety of outdoor grounds and landscaped areas. This position performs a variety of landscaping and groundskeeping tasks including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation maintenance, and seasonal cleanup to ensure properties remain attractive, functional, and compliant with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Mow lawns, trim hedges, shrubs, and trees.
- Plant flowers, trees, shrubs, and other vegetation.
- Apply mulch, fertilizer, and soil amendments as needed.
- Remove weeds and maintain flower beds and landscaped areas.
- Operate landscaping equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, and hedge cutters.
- Perform irrigation system inspections and minor repairs.
- Collect and remove debris, leaves, and litter from grounds.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as snow removal, leaf cleanup, and planting projects.
- Follow safety procedures and properly maintain landscaping tools and equipment.
- Report equipment malfunctions, hazards, and maintenance needs to management.
- Ensure all work is completed according to quality and productivity standards.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of landscaping, groundskeeping, or related outdoor maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of plants, lawn care practices, and landscaping techniques.
- Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment and tools.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
- Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with irrigation systems.
- Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment.
- Knowledge of plant identification and care.
- Pesticide or herbicide application certification (if required by state/local regulations).
