We're hiring a Dietary Aide to help deliver excellent dining service while also supporting residents' daily care needs. This role reports to the Dining Room Manager.
What You'll Do
- Set and maintain tables; serve residents promptly, courteously, and in an orderly manner
- Clear and reset tables after meal service; sweep and mop floors
- Prepare for and work special functions; assist with inventory and vendor deliveries
- Wash and sanitize cooking and serving items, kitchen equipment, walls, and floors
- Follow individualized plans of care for assigned residents; observe and report changes in condition
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, transfers, and ambulation as directed
- Support fall prevention and a restraint-free environment; help welcome and transfer residents
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
- Nursing Assistant Training Program certificate and CNA certification preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification, if required by state regulations
- Ability to safely handle food in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, turn, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, and perform fine manipulation throughout the workday
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly, and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance
- Normal or corrected vision and hearing, including color recognition
Working Environment
- Work is performed in a well-lit, well-ventilated dining and community setting, with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, odors, water, and noise
- Occasional outdoor exposure to weather and temperature changes
- Flexibility to work beyond normal hours, on weekends, or in other roles as needed
