Job Requisites:

 

Must read and comprehend all written material. Must write in a legible manner.

 

Level of education must be high school equivalent or higher.

 

Knowledge of heavy equipment is preferred for this position.

 

 

Brief Description of Job in very General Terms:

 

Responsible for the check in and check out of equipment, refueling, steam cleaning and helping mechanic as needed.

 

This job requires twisting, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, squatting, crawling, bending, fine manipulation and simple grasping such as detailed herein.

 

This job must be performed both inside and outside of buildings. This job must be performed inside the yard area, shop area and in the field at times.  Must work and walk over a variety of different surfaces, i.e. gravel, concrete, dirt, etc. This job also must be performed alone and in the presence of other co-workers.

 

This job requires working with hazardous material such as fuels, oils, solvents and caustics.

 

The driving of fork trucks is required for brief periods.

 

The individual in this position should be personable, a problem solver, ethical, intelligent and able to adapt to all of the forces around them – customers, suppliers, department managers, co-workers, and manufacturers personnel.

 

The individual should have strong organizational skills, good communication skills and excellent customer relations skills.

 

Job Description – YARDMAN

 

 

Detail Job Description:

 

1. Reports to Rental Manager for all job responsibilities.
2. Safely help load and unload equipment on the yard.
3. Responsible for refueling, steam cleaning, yellow-tagging of off rental equipment and putting on down line in a timely and organized manner.
4. To report any customer damage, hour meter readings, and fuel used immediately to Rental Manager.
5. Responsible for keeping rental yard clean and organized under the direction of the Rental Manager.
6. Responsible for taking photos of all outgoing equipment.
7. To assist rental service techs whenever possible to service and check rental equipment.
8. To assist lowboy operator’s as needed.
9. All duties necessary to make the rental yard, loading area, wash racks and fuel station safe, neat and orderly.

Secondary Job Duties:

 

1. Performs any other duties as assigned by the Rental Manager.

 

Note: All work must be performed in a safe and orderly fashion. Must adhere to all CEC safety rules. Must be aware of OSHA / MSHA standards relating to the heavy equipment industry and adhere to these while performing job duties. Personal protective equipment must be worn as dictated by job duties. This personal equipment shall be maintained in a clean and usable state.
