Are you an experienced transmission technician looking for a high-volume shop with consistent work and earning potential? Courtesy Chevrolet is seeking a skilled GM Transmission Technician to join our service team. We are looking for a motivated professional who takes pride in diagnosing and repairing complex transmission concerns while delivering quality workmanship and exceptional customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and replace automatic and manual transmissions on GM vehicles.
- Perform advanced drivability and transmission diagnostics using manufacturer-specific tools and equipment.
- Complete warranty and customer-pay repairs according to GM standards.
- Test-drive vehicles and verify repairs.
- Accurately document diagnostic findings, repair procedures, and labor operations.
- Maintain productivity, efficiency, and quality standards.
- Keep work area clean and follow all safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Automotive or Transmission Technician required.
- GM dealership experience preferred.
- ASE certifications preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to operate scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and shop machinery.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
