Job Title: Business Development Executive

 

Job Summary:

  • This is a Hybrid Remote position
  • The brand development executive will focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, lead conversion, and prospect management.
  • The brand development executive will be responsible to research, qualify, and convert leads and referrals, from their contact network, web leads and industry organizations.
  • Work with customers to create new product solutions for their brand and build on and maintain the customer relationship.
  • Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales, increase revenue and exceed client expectations.

 

Reports to:

  • Vice President of Sales & Marketing

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure client expectations are met, and superior customer satisfaction is achieved.
  • Identify, qualify and secure business opportunities;
  • Coordinate business generation activities
  • Develop customized targeted sales strategies within the company’s MOQ’s and GP margin.
  • Cold call and network to make inroads with potential clients and identify new business opportunities,
  • Develop relationships with clients,
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to drive growth.
  • Building business relationships with current and potential clients
  • Understand client needs and offer solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions; responding to client requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Collaborate with sales, project management, Technical Services, R&D, product development, marketing and leadership to secure, retain, and grow accounts
  • Create informative presentations for potential clients at client meetings, industry events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Create and maintain a list/database of prospect clients; maintaining a database (NetSuite) of prospective client information
  • Meet all quotas for cold, active, inactive calls, appointments, and interviews; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals
  • Maintain a pipeline of all sales administration using CRM software

 

  • Collaborate with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting
  • Prepare and maintain your short- and long-term business development plan 
  • Take a consultive approach to guide customers into the product selection(s) that fits the needs of their brand
  • Perform any other duties or tasks that may be required of you by the company
  • Promote and demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s core values and policies

Experience:

  • 5+ years working for a personal care contract manufacturer
  • 10+ years in the Cosmetics & Personal Care Industry
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Able to professionally and confidently communicate with C-Level Executives
  • Excellent analytical and time-management skills
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/NetSuite experience preferred
  • Product Development experience a plus

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
