Bookkeeper

We are seeking an Automotive Bookkeeper to join our dealership team. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily operations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Dealership experience is not required! We encourage anyone with payables and receivables experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records for the dealership
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and customer billing
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing
• Prepare 1099s
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies
• Assist with daily deposits as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (automotive dealership experience strongly preferred)
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, QuickBooks, etc.) a plus
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and reporting
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
