Head Porter

Description of the role:

The Head Porter at Continental Toyota is a front-line employee who welcomes customers as they arrive, answers basic questions,directs them to the appropriate department ( sales,service, etc.) and generally creates a positive first impression by providing friendly and courteous service, essentially acting as the initial point of contact for the dealership.

Responsibilities:

• Always Greet the customer with a friendly smile.
• Keep Service Lane clean
• Direct traffic flow and guide customer cars to pull up.
• Take pictures all around the vehicle
• Scan Vehicle's serial number
• Assign scanned vehicle to an advisor
• Schedule service attendants and be aware of their time clock-Ensuring Daily lunches are taking and no eating in the service drive.
• Ensure/Enforce all are dressed in Continental apparel and groomed in a professional manner
• Assign tasks and position of greeters throughout the day.
• At the end of shift, make sure tires,pallets,large boxes are in the golf cart and taken out.
• Monitor shuttle log
• Pull shuttles in the service drive in the evening,ensuring they are clean in and out,no damage and have fuel.
• Assist with TRAC in pulling up a rental car when necessary
• Miscellaneous duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and quality
