Golf Course Maintenance

Position:  Golf Maintenance

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for maintaining the golf course through raking, mowing, trimming and other groundskeeping responsibilities to keep the course operational. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

• Ability to work as early as 6am on days with outings or high-volume tee times
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to withstand outside summer temperatures
• Ability to repeatedly bend/stoop, frequently push/pull, and occasionally squat, reach above shoulder level, kneel and balance
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to frequently carry and lift up to 25 lbs
• Must be able to be on riding mower equipment for up to eight (8) hours per day
• Possess sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks within production and service time frames established by the company
• Must be able to perform tasks in a safe manner and adhere to company policies and procedures

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Mows greens, tees, fairways and rough on the golf course in the allotted time frame
• Maintains equipment by keeping it cleaned and gassed up on a daily basis
• Moves tee markers as needed and replaces when finished
• Changes hole locations
• Rakes bunkers
• Performs string trimming and other basic mowing duties
• Empties grass cutting buckets
• Perform any daily projects as assigned by the superintendent

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Must be 18 or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
