The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the plant's daily operations and employees, ensuring that production and installation schedules are met to fulfill deadlines. A thorough understanding of the company's product lines, equipment and machinery, assembly standards, and installation techniques is essential. The role also involves enforcing quality assurance and safety standards, as well as interacting with the sales staff to review designs as defined by the owner.

 

Additionally, the Production Manager will maintain factory equipment and company vehicles, produce daily cut-lists, forecast production requirements, and maintain necessary inventory levels. Responsibilities also include purchasing, tracking, and receiving all purchased materials, as well as problem resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee Production & Operations – Manage daily plant operations, scheduling, and employee workflow to ensure production and installation deadlines are met efficiently.
  • Maintain Quality & Safety Standards – Enforce quality assurance, safety protocols, and compliance across all production processes.
  • Optimize Inventory & Equipment – Maintain factory equipment, company vehicles, and necessary inventory levels while forecasting production needs.
  • Collaborate & Communicate – Work closely with sales staff to review designs and ensure seamless execution as defined by ownership.
  • Manage Inventory Controls – Oversee Kanban fulfillment process, tracking and receiving of materials.

 

Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Prior management and supervisory experience (3-5 years), with hiring responsibilities
  • Experience in woodworking or cabinet making fields (32mm systems a plus)
  • Experience with woodworking machinery, equipment and hand tools
  • Quality and safety experience
  • Computer proficiency and record keeping / reporting experience a plus!
