Cabinet Shop Production Supervisor /  Job Profile

Position: Production Supervisor 

Reports to: Owner, Installation Manager & Cultist Department.

Departmental Oversight: Manufacturing / Maintenance / Quality

The Cabinet Shop Production Supervisor at Closets by Design is responsible for the efficient and safe manufacturing of melamine materials to prepare jobs in a timely manner for installation.

Responsibilities of the Supervisor include:

• Motivate, support, and provide guidance to production staff.
• Communicate regularly with Operations & Installations Manager regarding problems or issues impacting production.
• Develop workflow processes and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Set productivity goals.
• Train and educate staff in all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to ensure quality and safety.
• Monitor schedules to ensure jobs are complete based on installation needs.
• Work with production alongside staff to learn and streamline the process.
• Ensure proper maintenance is performed on equipment in accordance with the manufacturer's suggested intervals to minimize downtime.
• Shop cleanliness and dust collection.
• Inventory Control
• Facility & Machine Maintenance

Objectives of the Production Supervisor include:

• Work with various department managers to formulate schedules and efficiencies that improve COGs and manufacturing expenses.
• Ensure CBD quality standards are maintained.
• Promote a motivated and enthusiastic atmosphere in the manufacturing facility.
• Improve productivity through goals, training and evaluation of processes and staff.

Job Requirements:

• Prior supervisory experience (1-3 years) in cabinet shop, with some hiring experience.
• Experience in woodworking or cabinet making fields (32mm systems a plus).
• Experience with woodworking equipment and hand tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, able to multi-task.
• Quality and safety conscious
• Ability to drive bottom line results while maintaining service orientation.
• Computer proficiency

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, open to negotiation based around experience
