Job Description: Operations Manager – Cabinet Manufacturing

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and track incoming materials from vendors, including hardware, doors, and drawers.
• Train and cross-train employees, ensuring high-quality standards in their work.
• Assign tasks to employees or teams for completing sections of work orders.
• Collaborate with the Operations Director to identify and address potential issues proactively.
• Manage and maintain inventory of hardware and consumables; request replenishment as needed.
• Provide guidance to the team on work orders, including hardware selection, materials needed, and efficient procedures.
• Lead department meetings and company-wide safety meetings.
• Monitor team adherence to safe work practices and set performance goals.
• Work with the team to:
• Ensure projects are assembled, loaded onto trucks, and delivered on schedule.
• Confirm products are completed in the finishing process on time and meet quality standards.
• Optimize the workflow through CNC and edge bander operations for maximum efficiency.
• Periodically review team performance and provide feedback as needed.
• Report machinery or equipment issues to the Operations Director for repair or replacement.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience in cabinet manufacturing and installation techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of materials, including wood and hardware.
• Experience in leading and managing a team effectively.
