Position Overview
The Business Development Manager drives sales growth and fosters robust partnerships with builders, retail partners, interior designers, architects and others within the community. Acting as the key liaison between Closet Factory, partners, and internal designer teams, this role ensures effective execution of lead generation, training, and brand promotion initiatives across partners.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development and Engagement: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives and revenue targets. Conduct and manage special events regularly, including some weekends.
Team Leadership and Training: Recruit, train, and motivate a high-performing in-home sales team. Provide ongoing coaching and support to ensure team members achieve their sales goals. Coach designers on utilizing systems and tools effectively.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences to deliver customized solutions. Monitor and manage Closet Factory’s brand presence, ensuring marketing materials, displays, and collateral are compliant, clean, and visually appealing. Managing the schedule and location set up for the mobile showroom asset at various store locations in the market.
Sales Performance Analysis: Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities for growth.
Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on our product offerings, features, and benefits to effectively communicate with customers and address their needs.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and exceptional customer experiences.
- Act as the escalation and problem-resolution lead for partnerships, ensuring swift and customer-centric solutions.
- Facilitate clear, consistent communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Regularly update and disseminate FAQs, SOPs, and operational processes to all relevant stakeholders.
Budget Management: Manage sales budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize ROI.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all sales activities. Maintain inventory and distribute current marketing collateral consistently.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in B2B/B2C sales, account management, or strategic partnerships.
- Proven ability to effectively train, influence, and lead with autonomy.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Comfortable using digital platforms for reporting, training, and communications.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation; able to travel frequently within assigned territory.
