As CKL expands its footprint into new markets and geographies, we are seeking MBA Intern candidates to play a pivotal role in refining and executing our CEI growth strategy. This opportunity is a paid internship position ideal for individuals with a passion for business development, market expansion, and infrastructure innovation.

Joining the Business Development Team, led by our Chief Executive Officer for Summer 2025, you will engage in business analysis, market research, and strategic planning to position CKL as a leader in CEI services. Your contributions will directly influence CKL’s ability to scale operations, secure new contracts, and enhance digital solutions in transportation infrastructure.

What You’ll Do Day to Day

• Conduct market research to identify public and private sector CEI opportunities in new markets and geographies.
• Analyze transportation infrastructure trends, funding opportunities, and competitive landscapes to guide CKL’s expansion strategy.
• Assist in developing business development roadmaps, including pricing strategies, partnership opportunities, and client outreach plans.
• Support cross-functional initiatives, working with CKL’s engineering, operations, and leadership teams to align business growth with technical capabilities.
• Engage in qualitative and quantitative research, including interviews, data analysis, and primary/secondary research to assess CKL’s competitive positioning.
• Explore the integration of technology-driven solutions in CEI services, enhancing efficiency and decision-making for transportation agencies.

What You’ll Need to Succeed at CKL

• Currently enrolled in an MBA or similar graduate program, with an interest in business strategy.
• Passion for transportation infrastructure, particularly in the areas of Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services.
• Interest in market analysis, business development, and pricing strategies within the transportation and engineering sectors.
• Basic knowledge of data statistics to support data-driven decision-making.
• Strong qualitative research skills, including the ability to conduct interviews with existing and prospective clients, industry partners, and competitors.
• Experience in primary and secondary research to analyze and size potential markets, assess competitors, identify market-entry challenges, and evaluate financial opportunities.
• Exceptional executive-level communication skills, including written reports, visual presentations, and verbal briefings.
• Proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative and drive projects from concept to completion, even in ambiguous or fast-evolving environments.

• Experience in cloud-based applications in related industries.
• Some background in structuring and implementing pricing models that drive revenue growth and support market expansion.
• Familiarity with the transportation industry, especially in Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) services, infrastructure development, or public sector contracting.

Location & Travel

• Hybrid & Remote-based position, offering flexibility while engaging with key stakeholders.

• Anticipated travel for one in-person team meeting in August 2025, bringing together staff to align on business strategy and growth initiatives.
