Automotive Controller

Fairfield Volkswagen is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Automotive Controller to join our team in Fairfield, OH. This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy of accounting records within our dealership.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide leadership to the finance team and support to other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Controller or similar position within the automotive industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and databases.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
• Dealertrack or CDK experience
