Golf Course Grounds Crew

Job Summary

The Grounds Crew, under supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent or foreman, is responsible for the daily set up and maintenance of the golf course.

Job Responsibilities

• Mows fairways, greens, tees, and roughs.
• Operates all types of equipment; roller, tractor-loader, aerifers, sprayers, blowers.
• May operate smaller equipment as directed by his/her supervisor.
• Ensures that the equipment cooling system is working at all times; refills fuel and oil daily; cleans equipment daily; and reports equipment problems or failures to Equipment Manager immediately.
• Provides basic preventive maintenance on equipment as directed by the equipment manager or assistant superintendent, and returns equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility.
• Performs other duties as directed by his/her supervisor. 

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of tractors and other motorized equipment.
• Ability to life 30 pounds on a consistent basis
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions.
• Must be self motivated and possess a positive attitude 
• Possession of a valid driver's license 

Job Availability

• Seasonal Position
• Approximate Start Date April 1, 2024 or after
• Available to work early mornings (start times range from 5:00 am - 6:00 am)
• Must be able to work weekends
• 30-40 Hours per Week
• Rate of Pay: $14.00 - $16.00/Hr - Depending on experience
