Parts Counter Associate

Chapman Volkswagen of Scottsdale is hiring a Parts Counter Associate to join our team. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys helping customers and supporting technicians with the parts they need to keep vehicles running smoothly.

 

In this role, you will assist customers and service technicians with parts purchases, provide product information and pricing, and help manage inventory within the parts department. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, customer service, and working in a fast-paced automotive environment.

 

Commission-based position | $40,000-$45,000 earning potential

 

What You’ll Do

 

• Assist retail customers and service technicians with parts and accessory purchases

• Provide pricing, availability, and product information to customers in person and over the phone

• Process parts orders and communicate with vendors regarding order status

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts shipments

• Accurately enter received parts into inventory and ensure proper storage

• Pull parts for technicians and customer orders and prepare them for pickup or shipment

• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records

• Help maintain a clean, organized parts counter, inventory area, and retail displays

• Identify opportunities to recommend additional parts and accessories when appropriate

What We’re Looking For

 

• Automotive Parts counter sales experience is preferred

• Strong customer service and communication skills, both in person and over the phone

• Organized with excellent attention to detail and accuracy

• Comfortable using computers and basic software programs such as Microsoft Office

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Familiarity with automotive parts is a plus

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and frequently lift up to 50 lbs

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

 

Schedule & Work Environment

 

• Parts Department hours: Monday–Friday 7am–6pm | Saturday 7:30am–5pm

• Schedule includes Monday–Friday shifts with occasional Saturdays

• Climate-controlled parts warehouse and shop environment

• Work is performed onsite at Chapman Volkswagen of Scottsdale
