We are searching for an experienced Auto Collections Specialist to contribute to a results-oriented team. To be successful in this role, candidates should be well-versed in FDCPA standards and collections regulations, self-motivated and goal oriented. Our ideal candidate will have experience with subprime auto loan collections or buy here – pay here collections, but any collections experience is welcome!

Core Responsibilities:

• Make and receive calls, consistently following the company’s collections call model and techniques, speaking clearly and concisely and listening effectively.
• Assist customers with questions about their loans and negotiate the best possible payment arrangements based on each customer’s individual circumstances.
• Display professionalism, tact and empathy while speaking with customers.
• Make recommendations to litigate when necessary, while following all state and FDCPA standards.
• Consistently and accurately document all information pertaining to accounts.
• Accurately process check-by-phone and/or electronic payments.
• Perform in-depth skip tracing tasks to locate borrowers.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of collections experience is required; subprime auto loan collections is strongly preferred! 
• A minimum of 2 years of experience skip tracing is required.
• Up-to-date knowledge of FDCPA standards and state laws.
• Ability to maintain composure with difficult or irate customers.
• Ability to simultaneously take good notes while speaking with customers.
• Self-motivated, takes initiative, and works well independently. 
• Superb verbal and written communication skills – bilingual is a plus!
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word required.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Hours and Work Environment:

This is an onsite position at our office located in Scottsdale, AZ. Our office consists of a small team of high performers. As part of our team, you will be entrusted to work independently and manage your own workload. Hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional Saturdays and/or overtime.
