Retired, but not ready to stop nursing?
Cedar Grove Private Home Care is looking for a PRN Registered Nurse who still loves patient care and wants to use their experience on their own terms, with no 12-hour shifts, no hospital floor, and no full-time commitment.

About Us
Cedar Grove is a locally owned agency serving families across Northeast Georgia. Our caregivers help seniors and adults stay safe and independent at home. Our RN leads the clinical side of that care: assessing clients, writing care plans and supporting our caregivers.

Why This Role Fits a Retired Nurse

  • PRN / as-needed: you take the visits that fit your week
  • W-2 employee position: taxes withheld, no contractor paperwork
  • Your experience is the job: assessments, care planning and mentoring caregivers, with no heavy lifting or bedside tasks
  • Meaningful one-on-one time with each client and family
  • A supportive office team that handles scheduling and billing

Pay (per visit / per service)

  • $150 per initial assessment & care plan
  • $90 per supervisory visit or annual reassessment
  • $150 per emergency home visit
  • $45/hour for caregiver training & skills validation
  • $4 per client for client note signatures
  • Plus pay for care plan revisions, chart reviews and on-call consults
  • Travel within our service area is built into every rate

What You'll Do

  • Travel to clients' homes across our Northeast Georgia service area
  • Complete initial in-home nursing assessments and write individualized care plans
  • Make supervisory visits every 60–90 days and coach our PCAs and CNAs
  • Update care plans when a client's needs change
  • Respond to and document incidents within 24 hours
  • Provide caregiver training, competency checks and skills validation
  • Coordinate with families, physicians and case managers (Private Pay, VA, EDWP/GAPP)

What You'll Need

  • Active Georgia RN license (retired or semi-retired nurses strongly encouraged to apply)
  • Willingness to travel to client homes in our service area
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license and auto insurance
  • Current CPR certification
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills
  • Home care or community health experience is a plus
