Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Agency Manager to oversee and lead the daily operations of our Emporia, KS home health care office. This individual will be responsible for managing all aspects of staffing, recruiting, training, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering high-quality home care services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Leadership & Oversight
- Manage the daily operations of the agency, ensuring compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations
- Serve as the primary on-site leader and point of contact for internal staff, clients, and caregivers
- Staffing & Scheduling
- Oversee caregiver scheduling to ensure proper client coverage and continuity of care
- Collaborate with internal teams to respond to urgent staffing needs and service changes
- Recruiting & Onboarding
- Lead recruitment initiatives to attract qualified caregivers and support staff
- Support the local hiring, and onboarding processes in collaboration with corporate HR
- Partner with community organizations, schools, and job boards to build a reliable pipeline
- Training & Development
- Ensure all staff meet mandatory training and compliance requirements
- Develop and monitor in-service training schedules for continued professional development
- Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Monitor service delivery and caregiver performance to ensure a high standard of care
- Lead or support audits, surveys, and inspections
- Maintain accurate documentation and client records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
- Client Satisfaction
- Serve as a point of contact for client issues, ensuring swift resolution and satisfaction
- Conduct periodic check-ins and home visits as needed to assess service quality
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in home care or home health care
- At least 3 years in a management or supervisory role
- Knowledge of state and federal home care regulations (especially Kansas)
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in scheduling software, EMRs, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must pass background check and meet all state-required credentials
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Medicaid and HCBS programs
- Familiarity with caregiver retention strategies
