Put your HVAC&R/Building Maintenance expertise to work and join our facilities team as an HVAC&R/Building Maintenance Technician.  In this hands-on role, you’ll install, maintain, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and building components that help keep our buildings safe and comfortable.  You’ll respond to system and building emergencies/repairs, work with top-of-the-line kitchen equipment, support boiler and electrical tasks, and system upgrades- offering variety, responsibility, and room to grow.

Wonewok is a fully private retreat property reserved for one group at a time, offering an exclusive and highly personalized experience. For more than 70 years, the property served as a private executive retreat for 3M and their distinguished guests.  The site consists of 7 guest lodging cottages (36 bedrooms), along with 9 other facility buildings serving and supporting guests.

Job Overview:

 Assists the facility team with completing service, installation, and preventative maintenance of commercial/residential HVAC&R and kitchen equipment, along with general building/property maintenance items.

What you’ll do:

• Installs, performs service, repairs, and preventive maintenance of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration system (HVAC&R) and kitchen equipment
• Perform service, repairs, and preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment within the property
• Monitor building temperatures and adjust as necessary
• Communicate necessary information pertaining to HVAC&R, and building systems to manager for repair or replacement
• Respond to and assist in all building, equipment, or system emergency situations
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
• Boiler operation and maintenance of residential boiler units
• Occasional tasks:
• Perform limited electrical work
• Help create new and update equipment and building PMs
• Other facility tasks as assigned (mowing, staining, landscaping)

Job Requirements:

• A combination of education and experience to equal 5 years in HVAC&R or related discipline
• Valid universal refrigeration license
• Boiler license preferred or the ability to obtain within one year
• Basic knowledge of computer operations for simple data entry or information retrieval
• Valid Class D drivers license with good driving record
