Room Attendant/Housekeeper

A Room Attendant/Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, sanitary, comfortable, and attractive guest rooms and public areas within the hotel. This role ensures guests have a positive experience by providing high standards of cleanliness, organization, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards
• Change bed linens and replace towels and toiletries
• Vacuum carpets, sweep, mop, and dust furniture and surfaces
• Clean bathrooms, mirrors, windows, and fixtures
• Restock guest room supplies and amenities
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items to management
• Ensure all rooms are prepared and inspected before guest check-in
• Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain housekeeping carts and cleaning equipment
• Dispose of trash and dirty linens properly
• Assist with cleaning public areas when needed

Requirements / Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and time management skills
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and move throughout shifts
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
