This role owns two of our signature programs — the High Adventure Club and the Veteran Recognition Program — and helps bring Stellar's vision of a stellar life to life every day.

If you are looking for a company and team that understands the value of people, then look no further. Stellar Senior Living is a premier assisted living and memory care provider in the Western United States. Founded in 2012, we have grown steadily and continue to add senior living communities to our family each year.

The Forum at Desert Harbor is one of Stellar Senior Living's most vibrant senior living communities — an active community full of fun, family, and opportunities to serve. The Lifestyle Coordinator is at the heart of that energy.

What We Offer

  • Pay range: $30.00 – $33.31 per hour
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Generous paid time off and paid holidays
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Company-sponsored training, tuition reimbursement, and other learning opportunities
  • Free meals each shift
  • On-demand pay — get your earned wages as soon as you want
  • A growing company with real opportunities for advancement

What You'll Do

As the Lifestyle Coordinator at the Forum at Desert Harbor, you will:

  • Plan, produce, and host signature special events — seasonal celebrations, family nights, holiday parties, themed dinners, and cultural observances — from concept through cleanup
  • Own the master events calendar and balance physical, mental, social, and spiritual programming so every resident has something meaningful each week
  • Plan and lead community outings — shopping, scenic drives, restaurants, museums, faith services, sporting events, and seasonal excursions — including transportation, accessibility, and on-site logistics
  • Research, book, and manage entertainers, performers, and presenters; negotiate contracts and track spend against budget
  • Own the High Adventure Club end-to-end: plan a quarterly day trip or overnighter and an annual signature multi-day trip (think glamping, national park lodge stays, coastal cruises, historic city tours), with safety, accessibility, and family communication built in
  • Own the Veteran Recognition Program: identify and recognize resident veterans, host monthly veteran moments, run a recurring veterans' group, and maintain the Veteran Wall of Honor
  • Build relationships with local senior centers, religious groups, libraries, schools, museums, and veteran service organizations (VFW, American Legion, Honor Flight) to enrich programming
  • Design and deliver ongoing customer service trainings for the broader team — new hire orientation, monthly refreshers, role-plays, and family-experience workshops
  • Recruit, train, and lead the community's volunteer program

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred
  • Two or more years of experience planning events, programs, or guest experiences (senior living, hospitality, or healthcare preferred)
  • Leadership experience preferred — managing volunteers, teams, or cross-functional projects
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable training peers and speaking in front of residents, families, and the public
  • Proven budget management and vendor-negotiation skills
  • Valid driver's license in good standing and comfort driving residents to outings (CDL if required by community vehicle)
  • Current Food Handler's Permit (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire); CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
