Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join our team in Belleville, MI. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals who require assistance with daily living activities to enhance their quality of life and maintain their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
• Support clients with mobility and transferring, including helping them move safely around their home.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a positive environment.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living space.
• Monitor client’s condition and report any changes or concerns to the supervisor or medical team.
• Follow care plans and maintain documentation according to company policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care-giving or personal care role is a plus bit not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients and their families.
• Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and perform care-giving tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation may be required.
