Direct Care Worker

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Support clients with mobility and transferring safely within the home.
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to the appropriate personnel.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Follow care plans and instructions as directed by supervisors or healthcare professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a care-giving or direct care role is beneficial but not required; training is provided.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation to and from client locations in Royal Oak, MI.
• Willingness to pass background and reference checks.
