Personal Care Assistant

University Home Care Inc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide quality care and support to our clients in Dexter, MI. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities to promote independence and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
• Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed
• Support clients with mobility and transfers
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior to the care manager
• Follow care plans and safety protocols

Requirements

• Previous experience in personal care or related field is an asset
• Ability to perform physical tasks and assist clients safely
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, compassionate, and trustworthy
• Valid driver’s license/ id card and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass background checks
