Position Overview:
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This position plays a key role in maintaining a clean, professional, and welcoming environment for employees and customers alike. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and has strong problem-solving skills with a background in general maintenance or facilities work.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical components.

Conduct regular inspections of the facility and grounds to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.

Handle basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and flooring repairs as needed.

Manage and maintain outdoor areas including snow removal, lawn care, and parking lot upkeep.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests or emergency issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for larger repair projects or specialized maintenance.

Track and manage maintenance supplies, tools, and inventory.

Maintain records of maintenance work completed, inspections, and preventive maintenance schedules.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.

Support setup, cleanup, and maintenance for dealership events or special projects.
Qualifications:
Required:
-
High school diploma or GED.

2+ years of experience in general maintenance, facilities, or building repair.

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:

Trade school certification or vocational training in maintenance or related field.

Experience working in a commercial or dealership environment.

Familiarity with preventative maintenance software or scheduling systems.

OSHA safety training or similar certification.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing ladders, and operating maintenance equipment.
