Underground Camera Equipment Support Specialist

 

We are seeking a Camera Equipment Support Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for driving sales of our underground inspection equipment across an established and high potential territory.

As a Camera Equipment Support Specialist, you will serve as a knowledgeable product ambassador and trusted solutions provider for our customers. You’ll work closely with contractors, municipalities, utilities, and inspection professionals to understand their needs and recommend the right technologies to support their operations.

 

The ideal candidate must reside within commuting distance to a Joe Johnson Equipment branch.

  • Base Salary - $75,000.00
  • Uncapped quarterly bonus opportunity

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all sales activities within assigned territory with a focus on increasing sales year over year in alignment with established targets
  • Collaborate and work in partnership with Territory Sales Managers as well as the Inside Sales team for administrative and customer support
  • Collaborate with the service and parts teams to ensure efficient and seamless customer experience
  • Effectively manage current customer accounts by providing product support, expertise, training and product updates
  • Prospect, build and maintain new customer relationships throughout the territory
  • Provide demonstrations and training as required to effectively represent the product lines represented within the territory
  • Attend industry events, training or tradeshows to ensure up-to-date knowledge on camera  products and to represent the company in the industry
  • Prepare forecasts and reports related to assigned territory
  • Utilize CRM to capture customer and sales data as required by internal processes

ABOUT YOU:

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and explain complexities of the products
  • Ability to plan and execute work independently 
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office suite and existing knowledge of inspection camera software and PACP, LACP, and MACP is preferred
  • Strong sales acumen with demonstrated success in previous sales roles
  • Ability to travel and work within a flexible schedule as required 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/ Certification:

  • Hold or be willing to obtain valid passport to allow for travel within North America as required
  • Must have valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check

Experience:

  • Experience in technical sales, field service, or a related role—preferably in industrial electronic equipment, inspection technology, software as a service sales, or municipal/contractor solutions
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs
  • Experience and understanding of the full sales cycle (quote to delivery)
  • Experience working with city engineers and GIS professionals is an asset
  • Experience working with governmental agencies on co-operative purchasing contracts and bids
  • Technical aptitude or previous exposure to mobile electronics environment is an asset
  • Additional relevant experience may include; CCTV Technician, Pipeline Camera Operator, Sewer or Drain Inspection Field Support, Underground Utilities Sales Specialist, Product Support, Technical Support, Watermain Inspector etc.

OTHER DETAILS

Work Environment:

  • Primarily municipal customer environment including working on and near streets, highways, and other infrastructure related environments
  • Will work with equipment that operates in sanitary and storm sewers
  • Some office work

Travel Expectations:

  • Travel within designated territory including some periodic overnight travel
  • Must reside within territory
