Cook

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our team at Kids R Kids Houston Heights. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious and delicious meals that meet the dietary needs of preschool children, ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment, and supporting the overall well-being of our students through healthy eating.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established nutritional guidelines and menu plans suited for preschool-aged children.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Plan and inventory kitchen supplies, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and available.
• Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary needs and allergies.
• Ensure all food is stored properly and follows safe food handling procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a cook or chef, preferably in childcare or educational settings.
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs of young children.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
