General Manager - Kia of Lynchburg

Berglund Automotive is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our Kia of Lynchburg dealership in Lynchburg, VA. As we prepare to open a new store and take this operation to the next level, we are looking for a strategic, hands-on leader who can build momentum, strengthen operations, and position the dealership for continued growth and success.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive leadership, a passion for customer service, and the ability to develop teams, drive sales performance, and create a strong foundation for the future. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive culture, ensuring operational excellence, and leading the store through an exciting next chapter.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of dealership operations including sales, service, and finance departments.
• Develop and implement business strategies to meet and exceed sales and profit goals.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve personal and team objectives.
• Ensure outstanding customer service and customer satisfaction at every touch-point.
• Maintain a strong relationship with manufacturer representatives and ensure compliance with Kia standards.
• Manage budgets, inventory, and resource allocation effectively.
• Analyze financial and operational reports to identify areas for improvement.
• Represent the dealership in the community and build strong local partnerships.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a General Manager within the automotive industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of dealership operations, including sales, service, and finance.
• Ability to analyze financial data and make strategic decisions.
• Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to excellence.
• Familiarity with Kia brand and automotive market trends is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours as needed.
