Job Summary

Do you want to leverage your mechanical expertise to help people have a better auto maintenance experience? The ASE Certified Automotive Service Advisor is responsible for assisting and maintaining relationships with CarAdvise’s network of service providers and vehicle owners. The primary role of the Automotive Service Advisor is to make service recommendations, mitigate expense and assist customer to manage maintenance repairs. This specialized/technical position will spend the majority of the time assisting customers with preventative maintenance and repair questions, reviewing work orders to validate recommended services, negotiating with vendors on proper repair procedures, cost effective pricing and minimize vehicle downtime. When customer interaction is required, the Automotive Service Advisor should use a consultative approach including providing a repair recommendation and approximate costs. Effective communication and organization skills are a must for this position.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • ASE Certified, Masters preferred

  • Bachelor's degree from a four year-college or university preferred

  • 2-5 years professional experience is preferred

  • Excellent written and communications skills

  • Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment and with a high volume of accounts. Account Management, Customer Service and Communications training a plus

  • Ability to use various computer programs and navigate technologies

  • Desire to work in fast paced startup environment
