CAPITAL Ford of Charlotte is seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Fleet Director to lead our growing commercial sales department. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial vehicle sales, driving revenue growth, and building long-term partnerships with business clients. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader with a proven record in fleet or commercial vehicle sales, exceptional business acumen, and a passion for developing high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the commercial sales department to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand market share and customer base.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with local, regional, and national fleet clients.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design and implement targeted campaigns and promotional initiatives.
  • Establish and track sales performance metrics to evaluate team and individual results.
  • Oversee department budgeting, forecasting, and expense management to maximize profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and commercial partners.
  • Provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and development for the commercial sales team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Commercial Fleet Manager, Commercial Sales Director, or similar leadership role within the automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving or exceeding sales and profitability targets.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and data-driven decision-making approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial vehicle products, fleet programs, and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Must successfully pass all pre-employment background screenings.
