Automotive Parts Counterperson – Join the CAPITAL TEAM!!

Do you have a passion for cars, an eye for detail, and a knack for organization? CAPITAL CHEVROLET of SHALLOTTE is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Automotive Parts Counterperson to support our fast-paced and friendly Parts Department.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of operations—helping customers and technicians find the right parts, keeping inventory running smoothly, and contributing to a safe, organized, and efficient workplace. What You’ll Do:

• Sales & Support: Assist walk-in customers, service techs, and phone-in clients with parts orders—always with a helpful attitude.

• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, receive shipments, restock shelves, and place timely orders to keep things moving.

• Order Fulfillment: Accurately process parts orders and provide clear price quotes.

• Record-keeping: Maintain accurate records of all transactions, invoices, and special orders.

• Teamwork: Pitch in with shipping, packing, and other warehouse duties as needed to keep the department running smoothly.

• Customer Experience: Ensure each customer interaction is friendly, efficient, and solution-oriented.

What We’re Looking For:

• Knowledge of automotive parts and systems.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Prior experience in automotive parts sales is preferred.

• Familiarity with inventory management systems (a plus!).

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items and work on your feet.

• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize tasks.

• Willingness to learn and adapt to process changes.

• Must pass pre-employment background screenings.
