Automotive Service Dispatcher

At Capitaland Motors GMC Subaru, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual for our Service Dispatcher/Warranty Administrator position. This position is responsible for efficiently dispatching work to service technicians while ensuring warranty claims are processed accurately and timely according to manufacturer guidelines. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator, have a strong understanding of automotive service operations, and possess a solid grasp of warranty procedures and systems.

Service Dispatcher Responsibilities:

• Prioritize jobs based on customer needs, parts availability, and technician skill sets.
• Monitor shop capacity and technician efficiency to ensure optimal workflow.
• Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding job status, delays, and completions.
• Ensure that all repair orders are properly documented and closed out in a timely manner.

• Review repair orders for warranty coverage and verify proper documentation and compliance with manufacturer policies.
• Maintain organized warranty records, including parts return and core tracking.
• Stay updated on changes to manufacturer policies, bulletins, and warranty procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical school certification preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in an automotive service environment, preferably in dispatching.
• Strong knowledge of Dealer Management System software.
• Familiarity with manufacturer warranty policies.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
