We recently opened Bar 600, a sophisticated yet relaxed spot within the hotel—and we’re looking for a talented Bartender to join us in creating exceptional experiences for our guests.

THE ROLE
Job Title: Bartender/Server
Location: Bar 600 at Cannery Pier Hotel & Spa, Astoria, OR
Job Type: Part-Time
Compensation: $17/hour + tips
Schedule: 3–4 evenings per week

Weeknights: 3:30 PM – 9:30 PM

Fridays & Saturdays: 3:30 PM – 10:30 PM
YOUR IMPACT
As a Bartender at Bar 600, you’ll serve up more than just drinks—you’ll help shape the guest experience with every pour, every smile, and every genuine interaction. From classic cocktails to creative concoctions, you'll mix and serve beverages with efficiency, professionalism, and a personal touch.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Behind the Bar:

Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair

Ensure consistency with standard recipes and portion control

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar at all times

Restock inventory, prep garnishes, and manage bar setup and breakdown
Guest Service:

Deliver friendly, prompt, and attentive service

Engage with guests to create memorable experiences

Anticipate guest needs and respond quickly to requests
-
Verify age of guests in compliance with OLCC regulations
Operations & Teamwork:

Accurately handle cash, credit cards, and guest charges to rooms

Assist with bussing tables and maintaining clean bar areas

Follow all safety, health, and sanitation standards

Communicate and collaborate with the hotel team and supervisors
WHAT YOU BRING
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Prior experience in bartending and cash handling
-
Knowledge of drink recipes, bar operations, and local alcohol laws

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Reliability, punctuality, and a team-first attitude

OLCC Alcohol Service Permit (required)

Food Handler’s Card (required)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 50 lbs

Stand and walk for extended periods
-
Use hands and arms for reaching, handling, mixing, and serving

Comfortable working in a dynamic, guest-facing environment
-
Occasional exposure to humid conditions or outdoor weather
